The 2STAR is a ground based detector standard used for intercomparison with 4STAR. This sunphotometer houses a silicon diode array spectrometer with a similar fiber optic path that never gets detached. This portable sunphotometer will be used in the field for linking aerosol optical depth measurements of 4STAR before flight to after flight, especially useful when the 4STAR's window get soiled.
